The palace is small and the interest is the history. Check at your homestay that it is open before you set out.
Dodda Vira Rajendra built it between 1792 and 1794 after escaping Tipu Sultan's custody. It was the last refuge of Chikka Vira Rajendra before the British deposed him. It is protected by the Karnataka Directorate of Archaeology and Museums.
