WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Check status first: in April 2026 the state stopped the 21 km Kumara Parvatha trek route and barred treks longer than 19 km. The shorter Beedahalli (Kodagu) approach is reported as about 7 km one way, but only plan on it if Aranya Vihaara lists it as bookable for your date. Only for fit trekkers, with a mandatory guide and no overnight stays inside the sanctuary.

HISTORY & BACKGROUND

Kumara Parvatha is the highest peak in the Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Forest Department opened the Beedahalli route alongside the longer Kukke Subramanya approach.
