The trail is about 1 km each way and slippery in the monsoon. The Brahmagiri peak trek from here needs forest permission from the Srimangala range office, so do not assume you can walk up on the day.
The falls drop about 170 feet in the Brahmagiri range and feed the Lakshmana Tirtha river. A Rameshwara Temple stands on the trail, and the falls are about 48 km from Virajpet on the Nagarhole road.
