Housed in what used to be the Mewar royal garage - genuinely interesting if you like classic cars (a 1934 Rolls-Royce used in a Bond film is here), but skippable for most travelers on a tight 2-day itinerary.
Opened to the public on 15 February 2000 by Lord Montagu of Beaulieu, founder of Britain's National Motor Museum, the collection is housed in the former Mewar State Motor Garage opposite Gulab Bagh. It was assembled through the personal passion of Maharana Bhagwat Singh Mewar and is now maintained by his successor, Arvind Singh Mewar's HRH Group. Its roughly 20-plus vehicles include a 1934 Rolls-Royce Phantom used in the Bond film Octopussy and a Cadillac that once escorted Queen Elizabeth II during a state visit to Udaipur.
