Pleasant fountains and a small museum, but it's a 20-30 min walk or ₹80-100 auto from the Old City - fine as a stop on the way to Fateh Sagar, not worth a dedicated round trip on its own.
Laid out between 1710 and 1734 under Maharana Sangram Singh II as a garden retreat for the queen and her entourage of 48 attendant maidens (saheliyon), from whom it takes its name. The garden was fed by natural spring water and channeled through fountains that historically ran without pumps, using gravity and pressure engineering typical of Mewar hydraulic works. It features a lotus pool, marble kiosks, and marble elephant sculptures amid manicured lawns.
