Modern mall useful for AC relief during summer midday heat, decent food court, and a legitimate fixed-price option for Rajasthani handicrafts if you're scam-fatigued from the bazaars — not a cultural attraction in itself.
Built over roughly three years at a reported cost of about 50 million dollars, World Trade Park opened to the public in late 2012 (with events continuing into early 2013) on Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg in Malviya Nagar, and was inaugurated with actor Shah Rukh Khan in attendance. Its two towers, split by a public street and connected by a sky-bridge of restaurants, were designed to combine retail, office space, and entertainment, and the project won 'Mall of the Year' and architecture honors from Indian industry bodies shortly after opening. As a 21st-century commercial development it has no historic pedigree, but it marked a major shift in Jaipur's retail landscape from bazaar-style shopping toward organized mall-format commerce.
