Trailhead starts behind Vashisht Temple; the climb is a moderate 3 km scramble over rocks and can be slippery after rain. Don't attempt the final rock-climb section to the upper falls without grip shoes - a few tourists slip here every season.
The waterfall and trail are named after Jogini Devi, worshipped locally as a daughter of Indra and revered as one of the sites connected to Shakti Peetha lore in the region. A small Jogini Mata temple sits at the base of the falls and is used by nearby villages for rites such as a child's first tonsure ceremony, reflecting the site's continuing role as a living place of worship rather than a purely scenic stop. The roughly 3 km trail climbs from Vashisht village through terraced fields and pine forest, following what was originally a footpath used by shepherds and pilgrims visiting the shrine.
